COVID-19 Protocols at Moundridge Manor

Moundridge Manor and partner Mercy Hospital are staffed with frontline workers, here to make sure you are cared for and kept safe.

We have protocols in place to protect and defend our communities from the spread of the virus.

Since the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) warned of the COVID-19 outbreak on Jan. 31, 2020, Manor leadership has been assessing, planning, and implementing changes to ensure the safety of our staff, patients, visitors and community.

As we continue to follow CDC protocols and mandated procedures from federal and state officials, if you come to the facility location, you’ll be asked to answer some screening questions. These questions are used to help us figure out how to best help you. Our response process includes:

  • Question – asking about current health, recent travel and any possible exposure to COVID-19
  • Observation – watching to new symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath
  • Isolation – placing a face mask on any resident who shows signs of those symptoms and meets screening criteria, then moving them to an isolation area for observation and testing
  • Precaution – using airborne and standard contact precautions with eye protection, gloves, face mask and gown for anyone who enters a COVID-19 positive resident’s the room
  • Protection – wearing all personal protective equipment (gloves, face mask, etc.) while working with anyone under investigation of having coronavirus (COVID-19)

Everyone in the facility, visitor or employee/contractor, must wear a face mask at all times.
