Well, it’s about time for another update…. the last time I wrote a post, the trim was just starting to be put on around the windows in the new resident rooms. Now, all of the window trim in the resident rooms, the hallways, and the solariums have been finished. Crown molding in the solariums and the multi-purpose room are being installed – the icing on the cake! The interior painting is nearly finished, with the small sitting areas off the main hall and one wall of the multi-purpose room being painted the dark red accent color that is also being used in the resident rooms. Most of the bathroom walls have been tiled, and today they are painting waterproofer on the spa room walls in preparation for tiling that room next week. In the kitchen, two huge stainless steel vent hoods have been installed where the ovens/fryers/tilt skillet will be. The concrete pumper truck has once again visited us, and the concrete pad for a storage area and connecting hallway has been poured on the west side of the old dining room. The small patios on the ends of each resident wing have also been poured. The room at the end of Meadow Lane has been stripped down to the studs and the connecting hallway into the new part has been built. And……the artificial turf is being installed; so, in the new courtyard at least, it now looks like the middle of summer with nice green grass. 🙂 That’s all for now!
