Disaster Update #1
As of this afternoon, we are still trying to dry out! Service Master has been here since the wee hours of yesterday morning, first of all vacuuming out the water, taking off baseboard and drilling holes in the sheetrock near the floors to let it dry, then bringing in fans and dehumidifiers to help with the drying process. A board member this morning counted 210 fans and dehumidifiers in use! Crews from Central Kansas Construction (CKC) have been here today and yesterday cutting through concrete, digging trenches, and figuring out how to repair the main water line. As of this morning, we were told that the water line should be repaired by the weekend. There is a man coming tomorrow morning to examine the foundation for any structural issues. At this point, we are very tentatively planning on starting to bring our residents home the middle of next week! Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes!
