Another Construction Update!
Amazing things have happened in the new addition since my last update! The new dining room, kitchen, and service hallway have been drywalled. The hallway and room walls on each of the resident wings have been given an orange peel texture (no actual oranges were harmed during this procedure). As of this morning, all walls of the east wing have been primed. Our project supervisor’s son, Sheldon, explained the paint color scheme: hallway walls and three of the room walls will be painted a creamy tan. The window wall in each resident room will be an accent wall, painted a dark brownish red. Solariums at the end of each hall will be just a couple shades darker tan than the hallway walls. It should be pretty! A lot has happened in the dining room in the last month; the places where the salad bar, nourishment bar, serving areas, etc. will be are taking shape. One of my favorite things that was new since the last tour are the arches built into the main hallway in four places to break up the long corrider. I think that’s going to turn out very nice! Take care until next time…..
